Join us for our first worship service!
Make plans to join us for our first public worship service at 10:00am on Easter Sunday!
We will be meeting at The American Legion building at 710 Apperson Drive in Salem.
More details about what to expect are below.
Location & Parking
We will be meeting at The American Legion, right off of Apperson Drive in Salem.
People usually recognize The American Legion for their beautiful, traditional brick house that formerly belonged to Senator Apperson. Or they recognize the sprawling lawn with lots of volleyball nets in the spring and summer. But more than likely, it’s recognized for the large green military tank sitting right outside the front porch.
Parking is available in the parking lot to the right of the house. Please enter through the side entrance.
Worship
We value thoughtful, reverent worship that’s steeped in God’s Word and prayer. We will sing both traditional and modern hymns, recite the creeds and confessions of our faith, preach through entire books of the Bible, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday.
Our Worship Guide will guide you through the components of our worship service and explain why we do each one.
We anticipate the service to last until 11:20am, but you are invited to stay and mingle after the service is over.
Children
We love for families to be able to worship together! Children are invited and encouraged to stay in the worship service with their parent or guardian.
We also have a nursery available for children ages 3 and under.
To help both parents and children during the worship service, there will be Kids’ Worship Binders in the lobby with quiet activities and training tools. Please feel free to pick one up for each child on your way in and return them to the same table once the service is over.
